About Gabe
Gabriel is a natural food expert, qualified chef, home economist, food coach, health educator and food activist. He is a passionate supporter of Compassion in World Farming and champions local, seasonal, artisanal and organic food. Gabriel works in Cornwall, where he lives with his wife.
Gabriel has spent thirteen years as a secondary school teacher of food and health education in both the public and private sector. He holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours and a Postgraduate Diploma of Teaching.
Gabriel has ten years experience as a professional chef and has owned an award-winning natural food restaurant in Christchurch, New Zealand. He holds New Zealand and British advanced trade certificates in cookery and restaurant service. He worked for Rick Stein and appeared in his first television series A Taste of the Sea.
